Walmart is in on Prime Day deals and it’s been a way closer competition than you thought.
Amazon may have its own shopping holiday, but that doesn’t mean it’s guaranteed to have all of the best deals across the internet. Walmart is offering unprecedented discounts on big ticket items customers expect to buy during Prime Day this year, such as televisions, kitchen appliances, and computers.
Walmart is simply calling it “The Big Save” (a bit less blatant than Target and ebay), but its biggest threat toward Prime Day? Next-day shipping on millions of items on orders over $35 and no pricey membership required. If you’re not a Prime member, these are the deals you can take advantage of without paying for a membership.
Walmart’s pricing is competitive with Amazon on a lot of unsurprising items like iPads, but many of the deals are on completely different items than Amazon’s big buys — or are exclusive to Walmart. (Like the Instant Vortex Plus air fryer, which, as of this writing, you can’t get anywhere else.)
If you prefer Google Assistant to Alexa, Walmart’s sales on Google Home devices will be a breath of fresh air from today’s Echo overload.
