TL;DR: The 2017 iPad Pro is still one of the best tablets you can get, and the 12.9-inch model is on super sale. Save $399.01 and get the 256 GB model for $679.99 or save $500 and get the 512 GB model for $779.99.
June 21 was National Selfie Day, and we’re here to remind you that friends don’t let friends take iPad mirror selfies.
Other than that, you can do just about anything with the iPad Pro: create graphic design projects on your commute, edit work spreadsheets from home, watch films, or connect a keyboard. When iPadOS comes out, it’ll be even closer to feeling like a real laptop.
The 2017 iPad Pro is still one of the best tablets you can buy period, and PCMag (owned by Mashable’s publisher, Ziff Davis) has a pool of factory unlocked 2017 12.9-inch models (WiFi + 4G LTE) for seriously cheap.
Get the 256 GB model for $679.99 or the 512 GB model for $779.99 — at least $300 cheaper than Best Buy’s sale prices, depending on the carrier and contract situation. (Here’s why unlocked phones and tablets are the safest choice.)

A lot of fun things were unveiled at WWDC, but one item that wasn’t mentioned was a new iPad Pro. That’s not surprising — it’d be greedy of us to expect a new one a little more than six months after the third generation came out. You probably won’t see discounts past $125 off on the new 12.9-inch or 11-inch models any time soon, and getting $500 off the mid-2017 model is a steal.
Get WiFi + Cellular for cheaper than just WiFi in the new models.
Aside from slimmer bezels and a more powerful chip, the mid-2017 model truly isn’t much different. The A10X chip is still ace for daily computing and photo editing, and films will be silky smooth across the 2224 x 1668 resolution. A 12 MP camera with 4K video, HDR video support, and Apple Pencil compatibility are also present. Going with older model lets you take home the big-screen iPad without spending unnecessary hundreds on power you probably won’t even need.
Save $399 and get the 256 GB model for $679.99 or save $500 and get the 512 GB model for $779.99 (regularly $1,079 and $1,279.99, respectively).
