The Echo Input adds Alexa to any speaker and it’s on sale for $19.99

Bluetooth speakers are the bomb and at this point, we pretty much all have one.

But if your home is decked out with smart plugs, smart lights, and the works, it’s weird to not be able to use Alexa with your Bluetooth speaker. (The speakers on most Echos are for you to hear the news, not to supply tunes for parties.)

If you’re trying not to spend $150 on the Alexa-enabled Sonos, the Echo Input can add Alexa to any speaker — and it’s on sale for just $19.99 today. Just slip it in your bag, whip it out at this summer’s parties, and boom: You can ask Alexa to replay Beyoncé for the 10th time without even touching the Spotify app.

One of the newer Echo products to join the fam, the Echo Input connects to an external speaker via Bluetooth or 3.5 mm audio cable. It’s somehow smaller and even more inconspicuous than the Echo Dot.

Ask Alexa to stream Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, SiriusXM, and more, set alarms or times, or check the weather or traffic. (Hands-free calls and the drop-in feature are not currently supported, so you’ll have to physically use your smartphone for that. Life is so hard.)
