The Google Pixelbook is on sale for $229 off at Amazon
Laptops and Chromebooks both have their advantages. One typically houses a more powerful processor, while the other operates through the cloud to ensure that your files are never lost.
If you’re going back and forth trying to decide which best suits your needs, the Google Pixelbook satisfies both ends (and looks hot while doing it) — and Amazon has the i7 model on sale for $1,419.99. That’s $229 off and $229 cheaper than what you’d be paying if you ordered from Google.

After two meh attempts at making a Chromebook actually worth a grand, Google finally nailed the perfect concoction of specs, physical design, and overall user experience. This 2-in-1 feels as thin and light as it looks, but is nowhere near skimpy when it comes to its ability to get shit done. In his review, Mashable’s Ray Wong mentions that he can’t remember the last time a laptop was this fun to use.
With a high-res screen resolution of 2,400 x 1,600, the Pixelbook gets you the same brightness and clarity that a MacBook Pro offers (and that never happens with Chromebooks). Chromebooks usually aren’t the go-to device for intensive creative projects, but this model’s i7 processor can simultaneously run editing apps from Adobe, Android apps, plus multiple internet tabs. Chrome OS was already user-friendly, and now it’s even simpler.
Yeah, nearly $1,500 for a Chromebook is close to what you’d be paying for anything in the MacBook line — and those are legit laptops, not Chromebooks. But for those people who aren’t Team Apple, the Google Pixelbook may be a better choice than a flagship Windows laptop. And with 512 GB SSD, it beats out Chromebook competitors from Asus and Acer.
Regularly $1,649, you can save $229.01 on the i7 model and get it for $1,419.99 with Prime shipping.
