Computer outages frustrate passengers at airports across the country
Today was not a great day to fly.
At airports across the country, passengers from several airlines complained about long delays due to computer outages.
Turns out there is a system-wide computer outage at Charlotte International Airport preventing any flights from leaving. So this is fun.

On Twitter, passengers stuck in line at JFK, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, and others vented … mostly at their airlines, who pointed it out it wasn’t their fault.
Sabre had a brief technical issue that impacted multiple carriers, including American Airlines. This technical issue has been resolved.

It turns out Sabre, which provides reservation, check-in, and other services to 225 airlines, was to blame.
Mashable reached out to Sabre, who did not respond. But the company did tweet.
We are aware of the issues facing some of our customers. Recovery is in progress. We apologize for the inconvenience.

It looks like some systems eventually went back up, but, as you can see, that didn’t seem to make passengers any happier about their situation.
