It’s possible to get a MacBook for less than $350 thanks to this Walmart sale
A shiny new MacBook is great and all, but if you’re looking to buy a great gift for your kid, you might not want to drop thousands of dollars on something they could very easily break.
Dear reader: Have you thought about buying refurbished?
Walmart has a deal right now on the MacBook air that is worthy of your attention. A certified refurbished 11.6-inch MacBook Air is on sale for just $338.10, meaning you could get a MacBook for your kid (or hell, even for yourself) for less than $350.
Don’t let the certified refurbished tag turn you off to this deal. In fact, Walmart does all it can to make sure that their refurbished electronics can stack up to the same device fresh out of the box. Products are inspected, cleaned, tested, and repaired to work as well as a new product and qualify as a Grade-A device before going back out on sale.
You shouldn’t notice any difference when it comes to performance and all the accessories should be right there as if you got it new. Walmart does admit that there can be occasional physical marks that can’t be removed, like scratches or possible scuffs. But they are diligent and thorough enough with testing and repairing the MacBook’s internal hardware to ensure that it won’t affect general performance, which is what matters in the end.
The MacBook Air you’re getting in this deal comes packed with an Intel Core i5-4260 processor with 4GB of RAM for the reliable speeds you’d expect out of a MacBook. It also has a 128GB SSD which should be plenty of storage for most work or personal files. (And certainly more than enough if this is a gift for your kid.) You should even see an extra boost in the speeds since it uses a solid state drive instead of a hard disc drive.
