Everything coming to Netflix in December 2021
2021 may be coming to an end, but Netflix is going out with a bang.
December marks the return of several popular Netflix series, like The Witcher, Queer Eye, and Emily in Paris. The streaming service will also be releasing several new high-profile films throughout the month, so keep an eye out for Jane Campion’s The Power of the Dog, disaster satire Don’t Look Up, and the Olivia Colman-led The Lost Daughter. Plus, if you’re in the spirit for some Christmas viewing, Netflix has got you more than covered.
Here’s everything coming to Netflix in December.
Top pick: Don’t Look Up

From director Adam McKay (The Big Short, Vice), Don’t Look Up is a comedic cautionary tale and climate change allegory featuring one of the most insane casts of 2021. Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence play a pair of astronomers who discover a comet on a collision course with Earth. Unfortunately, no one — not even the President of the United States (Meryl Streep) — cares enough to do anything.
While the premise is a little bleak, Don’t Look Up is worth seeing for its star-studded ensemble alone. DiCaprio, Lawrence, and Streep are joined by Rob Morgan, Jonah Hill, Cate Blanchett, Tyler Perry, Mark Rylance, Ron Perlman, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, and Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi).
How to watch: Don’t Look Up is in select theaters Dec. 10, and on Netflix Dec. 24.
