Actually, it’s an 8K TV for under $2,000
Need guidance at a glance? These are our favorite TV deals from Walmart, Best Buy, Dell, and Amazon as of Feb. 19:
If you’re looking to upgrade from 4K rather than to 4K, this is your week to do so.
Just over a month after Samsung introduced its Neo QLED 8K TVs at CES 2021, its Q800T 8K line from last year is seeing an unprecedented discount (Samsung’s End of Winter event saw it first, but Best Buy swooped in with a price match after it went out of stock elsewhere). We can’t confirm the causation, but it’s a new-release correlation that doesn’t try to hide.
Plenty of other 4K models are on sale as well:
Samsung
OUR TOP PICK: ) — $1,999.99 (save $1,500)
Teasing an extra $700 discount on top of its amazing sale price from last week, the 65-inch version of Samsung’s most affordable 8K model is almost half off (Best Buy has matched the price from Samsung’s End of Winter event, where the model has already sold out). Prepare to be thrown into depths double that of a 4K TV and brilliant pops of shade thanks to Samsung’s Direct Full Array 24X** backlighting.
LG
OUR TOP PICK: — $1,299.99 (save $400)
The NanoCell TVs normally strapped with meager discounts are treating us recently. This particular mammoth model is seeing one of the best price slashes — its discount doubles that of a same-size model that’s just one tier below it. Since 2017, LG’s NanoCell TVs have been a solid choice that we keep coming back to. The technology builds on LCD and LED by deploying particles to soak up light and boost color saturation, while still staying out of the QLED price range.
Sony
OUR TOP PICK: — $3,999.99 (save $500)
The XL version of one of Sony’s slickest TVs is nearly back to its holiday pricing. Even so, it’s still not exactly the cheapest 77-inch out there — but cinephiles who are wasting away due to missing movie theaters deserve this viewing quality in their living room. This OLED masterpiece is armed with Sony’s “best processor ever” and uses Acoustic Surface Audio+ sound to bring concert hall-like sound to each scene.
Hisense, Vizio, and more:
OUR TOP PICK: Hisense 75-inch 4K LED UHD Android Smart TV (75H6510G) — $599.99 (save $400)
🚨 Cyber Monday price alert🚨
Affordable big screens were a theme of 2020’s TV production. Hisense took full advantage of larger panels getting easier (and cheaper) to mass-produce. Its H6510G line is consistently drenched with five-star reviews full of customers gushing about the value and crystal-clear picture. A DTS Virtual X sound system accompanies the vivid on-screen display to provide an immersive theater-like experience.
