For years, this cyborg felt every earthquake in her feet. But with the implants gone, she still senses the buzz.
Moon Ribas is a cyborg artist and co-founder of the Cyborg Foundation, which helps people develop new sense through technology. For years, Moon had two small sensors in her feet connected to online seismographs that allowed her to feel subtle vibrations every time an earthquake struck.
Now, having removed the sensors, Moon is experiencing phantom vibrations, almost as if the artificial sense she had added has now become part of her body.
