Apple’s Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro is now available to order
You’ll no longer have to wait until May to get your hands on Apple’s Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro. The new accessory is now available to order and will arrive as early as next week.
The Magic Keyboard was originally announced alongside the new iPad Pro (2020), but it’s also compatible with the previous generation iPad Pro. If you have the 11-inch model, the keyboard will cost you $299 while the 12.9-inch version is $349.
The keyboard attaches to the iPad magnetically and allows you to angle it up to 130 degrees. It also folds over the display the same way Apple’s Smart Folio keyboard does.
It also features the same keyboard that’s included on the MacBook Air 2020. The scissor switch mechanism has 1mm of key travel under each key.
Additionally, it comes with a built-in trackpad to use with trackpad support built into iPadOS 13.4.
The trackpad supports a variety of gestures, too: pinch your fingers for multitasking, swipe three fingers to switch apps, place two fingers next to each other to zoom, and more.
I have yet to try it out, but after reviewing the new iPad Pro, I’m confident when I say it’s essential to creating the “full-fledged laptop” experience you might be looking for.
You can order it now right from Apple’s site.
