Save an extra $30 on these ultrawide screens
TL;DR: Two Deco Gear curved LED monitors are on sale in the PCMag Shop, and you can lower their prices by an additional $30 by entering the coupon code 30OFF at checkout.
Whether you’re tracking bounties in the just-updated Red Dead Online or catching up on the latest season of Mindhunter, know this: Everything’s better on an ultrawide curved monitor. Boasting an aspect ratio of 21:9, their screens bend ever so slightly (but not dramatically enough to warp the picture) to create an immersive, cinematic viewing experience that makes you feel like you’re a part of the action. It’s sort of like if you took one of those majestic iMax screens and scaled it down to fit on a desktop.
For a great deal on two ultrawide curved monitors, look no further than the PCMag Shop (which is owned by Mashable’s publisher, Ziff Davis): There are two really nice Deco Gear models on sale there, and you can take an extra $30 off their already-discounted prices just by plugging in the code 30OFF at checkout. Once that’s been applied, you won’t pay any more than $440 for the monitor of your choice. (High-end ultrawide curved monitors usually retail for at least $700 to $800 — see: this one by Dell and this one by Samsung — so you’re getting away with a real steal, here.)
There are three key differences between the two monitors in question, the first being the number of pixels they’re capable of displaying. The less expensive one — we’ll call it Monitor A — has a 2560×1080 resolution; the other — Monitor B — offers a marginally better 3440 x 1440 resolution. Monitor B also features a faster refresh rate (100Hz compared to Monitor A’s 75Hz) and a 3000:1 contrast ratio (versus Monitor A’s 2000:1 ratio). As such, Monitor B is $100 more expensive than its compatriot.
Aside from those specs, the two monitors are virtually the same: Both measure in at 35 inches, boast a display range of more than 16.7 billion colors, feature a 4 millisecond screen response time, and come with gamer-specific software functions like a blue light filter.
Visit the PCMag Shop to order your new ultrawide curved monitor — you’ll pay just $339.99 for Monitor A (normally $649.99) and $439.99 for Monitor B (normally $999.99) so long as you enter 30OFF at checkout.
